Kenyan owned soccer academy Vifaru Sports Academy has officially launched in Nairobi's Goan Institute.
The academy said in a statement that it will team up with local stakeholders such as training ground providers "to launch a series of sports projects in Nairobi within the Academy's strategic plan to grow its brand and methodology throughout the world, educate from football and transmit the values of the institution."
The academy added that its main aim will be "to develop grassroots football in the area by implementing data-driven methodology coaching, as long as the evolution of the pandemic allows it."
Nairobi residents especially the ones living in Parklands, Westlands and Pangani have hailed the project as a game changer in the talent rich capital City.
"I am really happy with this agreement that will bring first level opportunities to Nairobi residents. As the coaching staff we are looking forward to helping with the growth of football in Kenya. I am grateful and It will be an honor to serve as the Technical Director," said Joseph Jagero, Technical Director, Vifaru Sports Academy.
